What are you serving?

Gregory Pope - Monday, January 09, 2012

John 3:16 For God so loved the world He gave His only Son, Jesus. Wow that is such exciting news. The depth and width of Father God’s love is beyond what we can understand. He knows the number of hairs on your head. The point of this is for you to realize He is concerned with every detail of your life. You are God’s prize. As we begin to understand this great love for us it allows us to have love for others. 1 John 4:7-8 Beloved let us love one another for love is of God and everyone that loves is born of God. He that loves not knows not God for God is Love. Let us Love one another. This makes me think. What are you giving in relationships? We already realize from the Word that it is better to give than to receive Acts 20:35. We can love because God first loved us by sending His Son Jesus to die on the cross. The great exchange where He took our sins and gives us His Righteousness. Wow what a gift. What kind of gifts are we giving? What do you give to your spouse? What are you giving your children? What are you giving your friends and family? What are you giving co-workers? What are you giving to those people in need around you? The characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5 are evident in what you give people around you. When we let love, faithfulness, forgiveness, hope, self-control, etc…. become evident in our life we obtain favor with God and men. Our actions demonstrate love to the world around us. In Matthew 5 we learn that we should love our neighbors as ourselves and when you recognize enemies are neighbors this must be done through God’s agape Love. Read 1 Corinthians 13 and Galatians 5 and let the Holy Spirit speak to you and show you how to have fruitful lives of Love.

Happy New Year

Gregory Pope - Sunday, January 01, 2012

Beginning the New Year by not being moved by worldly thinking but being transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:1-2
Fasting is all about helping your focus. It is a rust remover to the gears of your mind or a sandblaster to knock old paint off. David said thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee. When you begin to fast you are making more time for God’s Word. Jesus will become the dominant voice that you hear. Fasting improves your focus and allows you to become a water walker through circumstances as you focus on Jesus and not situations and the waves around you.
We are use to feeding our bodies  but can neglect our emotional  and Spiritual needs by a fast food mentality. This is when we may be eating things but nothing with any nutritional value. You may get full quickly but there is no energy source, no protein… The Word is the Bread of Life! When we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness all things will be added to us… Matthew 6:33.
Enjoy fellowshipping with Jesus.. He will fill whatever room we make available to Him. Matthew 4:4 Message Bible, “It takes more than bread to say alive. It takes a steady stream of words from God’s mouth.”

Road Trip

Gregory Pope - Wednesday, October 19, 2011

There is song that says "life is a highway!” We are all on life's highway, with two destinations to choose from ,one is life and one is death. Jesus on the cross became the roadblock to destruction. His cross says turn around and change directions. Follow Jesus, Come to Jesus, Receive Jesus, and Walk with Jesus. Let Him take charge and control of your life. Jesus makes a way when there looks like there is no way. He will change your destination out of darkness into light, out of the power of the enemy into the power of God. With Him you are more than a conqueror, because greater is He that is in you than what you face on the road. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “I know the plans, I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” God’s Highway is one of Love, Mercy, Grace, Faith, Peace, Healing, Safety, Prosperity, and Hope.

Id at the Door

Gregory Pope - Wednesday, October 12, 2011

There is only one way to salvation, through the Cross of Jesus Christ. It is crazy to the world and to the natural mind that Father God used a cruel cross on a hill called Calvary and sacrificed his Son to be the door way to Eternal Life. Saying yes, identifies you as a child of god. The world identifies you with accomplishments: ID's- Family Name, Position, Car, Bank Account, House, etc. Identification with God Begins at the cross on level ground. Come as you are Jesus says, receive me as your Lord and Savior. Say yes to being identified as part of Gods Family.
